    Calling all computer pros!

My computer is going crazy! Every now and then, Internet Explorer will open up more and more and more and more and more windows of itself and it'll only stop when I go into the task manager and end the IE processes. That was quite annoying but yesterday something even worse happened. I went into the task manager to find that there were about 70 processes of rundll32.exe operating, obviously slowing down the PC. As for anti-virus, I tried installing avg but its nowhere to be found. The installation went perfect, it said everything was ok, but it doesn't exist on the computer, not in the icons next to the clock, not in my start menu list, even the folder in which its meant to be installed only has something called a Toolbar Broker, thats it. I've also got Spybot Search and Destroy installed, but when I try to start that up, it says "Spybot S&D has stopped working". I'm out of ideas. Is there anyone who knows anything I can do?

Oh, and I forgot to add, every few minutes when things are working fine, ads will pop up out of nowhere, casinos, flight discounts, etc etc. I'm sure I've got a lot of crap on my pc, but how do I get rid of it?

Here the things u can do....

            1. Go through your installed program list and uninstall whatever is not necessary.
            2. "Run" (Cttl + R) and type in "msconfig" open Startup tab and seek for inappropriate programs. if u are not sure google them. should tell u if its windows program or other craps.
            3. Try install other Anti-Virus program, sounds like ur AVG is blocked by Virus/Malware.
            4. Reinstall ur entire OS....

Download Malware Bytes Malwarebytes.org once you have installed it, do an update (click the update tab) then when thats finished set it to full scan and walk away.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is probably the best cleaner available right now, but there's a good chance that whatever you have got will protect itself by interfering with it. In some cases, they will block you from accessing the website, and in others, will stop you from running the program.

                  To get around this:

                  1) Download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware on a friends computer, and use a CD or USB drive to transfer the installer to your computer
                  2) Rename the installer*, and install the program
                  3) If the install doesn't seem to finish, that's OK. Wait for a couple of minutes after the install process either hangs or disappears, and reboot
                  4) Find the install folder (in c:\program files\), and rename the main anti-malware exe file the same way you did for the installer
                  5) Run the renamed EXE and do a quick scan. Remove everything it finds.
                  6) Reboot
                  7) Find the install folder (in c:\program files\), and rename the main anti-malware exe file back to its original name
                  8) Run Malwarebytes AntiMalware again, and tell it to update. Hopefully it removed enough crud that this will now work properly
                  9) Once the update is complete, do a full scan, and remove whatever is found.

                  * It doesn't really matter what you call it, as long as it has the same 3 letter extension (.exe). I usually just mash the keyboard (so I end up with jlubvhjl.exe or something like that).

Microsof also do an anti-malware scanner that is pretty good.

google for microsoft anti-malware.... its a stand alone thing you can run without installing.

I don't use IE, I use opera which has usually been pretty good. Haha @ porn comments, haven't used any in months now that I have someone to do the work for me (girlfriend). It all started when I was trying to get Top Gear episodes and downloaded something called Zango which said would get me access to the episodes, but instead it just snowballed from there. I tried the Malwarebytes one and didn't work and neither did the Microsoft Malware tool, it just won't let me start them up... So I guess my last option is to format? Uh.. Windows 7 out yet?

No need for format just yet, reboot the computer in safe mode, press and hold F8 before it starts "loading windows" choose safe mode, install malware bytes, then run it.
