  • MRWA traffic info real-time feed added

Just added a feed from MRWA's metro traffic conditions to PSB's news and infomation section. Hopefully this will help PSB'ers to quickly and accurately see any traffic issues such as crashes, delays, etc.

It is run off a Twitter feed which is polled every 10 minutes, which should keep things as current and accurate as possible.

    Any feedback is always appreciated.

    Please, not as threads... :pinch:

    :edit:

Ticker tape in a panel somewhere maybe showing the latest one or something, but not just as threads in what's already shaping up to be just a nasty "new posts" polluter...

not a bad idea, will see what i can do.
it was a pita then for new posts, but in reality it'd only be one or two new threads per day anyway, and only if something happens.

and besides, we normally get 4 or 5 new threads with people giving the same accident info anyway, might reduce that which would be good.... :p

Worth a shot, be interesting to see how it works out.

Brownclown - can we get a feed or two from WAPOL too?

Suggest members only can view, or PSB might be taking on extra usage from traffic spotters

Any chance this could be formatted a little differently to show the body of the post in the title?

                  So instead of

I don't think so as it's an RSS feed direct from their website but I'll take a look tonight.

it's built into the forum system, but we had to config it
i've messed with it to hopefully change it, will wait to see.
