Some time ago I was teaching a learner (L-plate) rider who was in front of me and riding a bit slowly around a bend when we were both overtaken by a "Suburban Safari" vehicle. The painted lady, driving this juggernaut in leather upholstered and airconditioned comfort, chose to overtake us on a blind corner over double white lines and with two wheels on either side of the centre-line naturally forcing us nearly into the gutter.
When I caught up with her when she pulled into her driveway and asked what she thought she was doing, she looked at me as if was mad and said
"I don't know what you are talking about - I've never seen you before in my life."
