So on the eight day, after wasting time faffing about with unimportant guff like heaven & earth & the waters & sky & creatures [& having a wee kip] & man.... God created PSB (GenesiSX-R1000)
The RSV1000R is the "base model" (i.e. the same as the RSV1000 of last year), the RSV1000 Facotry is the "race model" (i.e. the same as the RSV1000R of last year).
how do the Aprilia Mille go neway? COz im finkin of getting one next october-november??
I spoke to a guy at rick gills the other day and he goes its all the low down torque u need for a road bike and handles better than most jap bikes except for the gixer 1000 (which is apparently the closest jap bike to an italian bike)
But yer i should have enough for an aprilia mille next yr. Cant wait
Saw both the Aprilia's at Philip Island (Moto GP), they look even better in the flesh, I even have them on video, with the new R1, ZX10R etc.
Nice bikes 8)
They only cost money.... Get a loan and buy one, sell your mum-sister or wife.......Hahahaha..
I've ridden a few different Mille's (not the brand-new model though), 99s through 02. Probably the most comfortable superbike I've ridden, and I'm just over 6'3.
Quite a different animal to ride than my Ducati. The Aprilia has a lot more torque (newer & bigger, more efficient engine) and more "sensible" gearing. Everything's newer than my 97, so the brakes & handling etc. are fantastic. Certainly a more user-friendly prospect, though I imagine if you rode a recent 996 or 998 at ten tenths you'd probably go a smidgen faster.
Aprilia's are also a lot more reliable, as all the bits are built by contractors (the engines by Rotax, for instance) so you'd probably pay the same to service one as any "normal" bike. I think if I had to buy a superbike to do serious kays on, it'd be a Mille. If you can, however, get at least an 01-model onwards, as they had numerous little "tweaks" from the earlier bikes.
