  • Rider down, Lesmurdie

My daughter got cleaned up by an old Nissan Patrol this afternoon at the Lesmurdie/Canning Rd roundabout. She is OK apart from a few abrasions, luckily wearing full protective gear which did it's job. Little GPX is not so well off, have totalled up some $4100 in parts! Driver claims she "didn't even see her". Familiar? Bright yellow bike! Obviously no flouro vest was the problem. Driver not insured so it's anyone's guess if this uni student will get any money to fix her beloved bike. She was lucky though, the roo bar of the car took out the LH rear of the bike, about 50cm behind her leg. Could have been much worse.

            Good news is good news

Sucks about the bike but I'm sure you're just happy your daughter is relatively unhurt.

Heard about this one, very lucky girl!

Is Alex insured? May be able to make a claim that way and have the insurer chase the driver for damages?

If your daughters bike is insured let them sort it out.

                              Good news she is OK.
