Bike Crash - Hutton Street

The missus just sent me a message saying that there has been a bike crash on Hutton Street outside her work (near Moto Max).

Ambos and firies have blocked off the street.

Apparently he is moving, but she can't see much anymore since the ambulance is now in the way.

The bike isn't in a very good condition. It's a black bike, faired bike, but can't tell much more from the picture she sent. Hopefully the rider isn't to banged up.

A lot of accidents happen in that spot...

That was me, guy pulled out. A 4x4 blocked my view so had no time to react. Hit the car in the side, flipped over the roof and did some flips and slide down the road. I'm alive they checking if my legs are broken and I have to get spinal X-rays. Bike is totaled. The car who pulled out told the cops I was splitting. Which I 100% wasn't so I hope some witnesses come forward.

I take it you know to legally split you must not straddle the white line, must indicate when crossing the white line, can not cross a solid white line, may only pass to a cars right side, unless they are stopped when you can then also pass to their left.

It's because the car had no insurance he wants to try and get out of it. I know I was in the right and I was in my own lane traveling at the speed limit. I just hope the cops talk to some witnesses. What pisses me off the most is how was he supposed to see if I was splitting or not?

Not sure what will happen to my bike, it's insured. I loved that bike, sucks I have to lose it over a muppet.

I have been in the exact same position as you. Lucky I had a witness.
You need to get a lawyer for your injury claim, don't deal with ICWA yourself let the lawyer do it.

You shouldn't be allowed to own/drive a vehicle that isn't covered for 3rd party property damage..

If you were supposedly splitting then you would have been between cars in traffic. So his defense is that he pulled out on traffic, and couldn't see you because you were in it?

110% recommend Separovic Injury Lawyers. Currently using them for a rather difficult workers comp claim that a lot of lawyers were not interested in taking on due to nature of injury. They have been excellent and got us a win as an outcome!

I know you're probably feeling pretty sore n sorry at the moment but:

You could've been killed and although injured you will recover.
Your bike got totaled, but you are insured and will eventually have a nice new ride to enjoy.
You know you are in the right; douchbag has made it up on the spot. That time of day there would be plenty of witnesses; many would have stopped to render assistance in the immediate aftermath of the prang. The truth will come out and you will be vindicated.

Just focus on the positives, and heal well.
Everyone who knows and cares about you is thinking it's gonna be a good Xmas.
