The rider on the Bmw was a former client of mine, injuries are fractured pelvis , shoulder and arm .
He had surgery today to put plates in the pelvis fracture and pins to arms, expecting a lengthy hospital stay

Serious injuries which will take time to heal.

Novice rider or very unfamiliar with the road?

                Very experienced rider.
Ridden all over Europe, new to Australia and not sure if he had been down that particular road before

Just a heads up....on a recent ride Skippy bounced into the road just ahead of me....fortunately he decided hop back into the bush...this was in daylight...not early evening when they are more active. Lots of wildlife even experienced riders may come to grief.

Dont know if this happened in this case...hope the rider heals as quick as possible

There are also deer in those parts too.
The only thing wrong with a perfect ride to work is that you end up at work.

I experienced the same thing a couple of years ago, it was a big one too. It happened during Summer time near Wooroloo Brook Bridge so the animal was most likely in the area because of water availability.

Lots of traps for newbies on this road no matter how experienced you are. It's a fairly unforgiving bit of road if you fuck up.

that corner is different to every other corner on that road, sharp, steep with a very odd angle, i found it the hardest one to do at speed you can see why it has claimed some lives in any condition

Agreed but i meant up to clenton road not including it, clenton road is faster and more difficult for sure.
