BMW MOTORCYCLES – SAFTEY RELATED RECALL
Constant product monitoring has identified that fuel leaks could occur at the fuel supply circuit on the following BMW motorcycles. A vehicle fire could occur as a result of the fuel leakage.

This is due to the tension of the supply hose clamps and the position of the fuel supply clamps.
Quick release fuel line connectors require the o-ring sealing to be checked for leakage.
K series models.
Caused by the tightening torque settings of the fuel pump flange retaining ring and the immersion tube fuel level sensor gasket. The tension of the supply hose clamps and position of the fuel supply clamps also require checking

F650CS.
The pump flange can be affected by acidic material contact or unapproved cleaning agents containing acid.
BMW Group Australia is now conducting an Australia-wide recall on all affected models, and is contacting owners direct. However, if you own or ride on of the abovementioned motorcycles you should contact any authorised BMW motorcycle dealer without delay to arrange the listed items to be checked and rectified as necessary.
Should you have sold your motorcycle could you please contact BMW Group Australia as soon as possible and advise us of the new owner’s details.
The checking and rectification will be carried out at BMW’s expense
