  • R6 Down!! - But not out.

On my way home from work tonight on Marmion Ave, just near the beldon shops (heading south)... I saw a grotesque sight... an R6 with oil leaking out of its belly.

I pulled over to offer a hand and make sure the dude was ok... turns out he's the brother of Ben (Smokin Joe special) a guy that used to ride with some of the boys.

Turns out a woman pulled out in front of him. He's ok... a bit banged up and VERY lucky. Looks like the left side engine cover is cracked, a bit of mid fairing damage, a broken left clipon and the usual road rash that goes with throwing a bike down the road.

Be mindful of the traffic out there guys!
    If you can... you MUST!

Some say he only showers on even days of the week

Some say he put an R1 motor in a coffee machine

Yes we all have to be extremely careful out there...

Remember, riding a bike means not just watching and thinking about what your doing, but looking out for those cage drivers too, apparently they CAN'T see us

          cages pulling out

does anyone know the facts about cages pulling out in front of a bike and having to take evasive action and losing the bike.

          1. are they liable for damage.

          2. is this a reportable to the cops like any other accident.

Craig, I think you could hold them responsible but you would need to get their details and probably have a witness to help prove their mistake.

              Melkor:

You don't have to come into contact to be responsible for an accident. If the driver performing the "turn in front of oncomming vehciles" caused your mate to loose control of the vehicle that's enough to deem her responsible.

Make sure he gets down and reports the matter to the police as a "hit and run" and advise the police in the report that the intersection is monitored by camera. Perhaps they can get the info for you.

              Good luck.
