For immediate release: April 13, 2004

Anaheim, CA-Erion Racing announced today that it is releasing rider Anthony Gobert from the Erion team effective immediately.

Gobert was hired by the Honda-supported Erion Racing team to compete in the new AMA Superstock class in 2004.

"There is a level of commitment and dedication that is required to be a rider on our team," said team owner Kevin Erion. "Unfortunately, Anthony was unwilling to demonstrate the level of commitment and dedication required to get the job done. We wish Anthony well. He has displayed great talent over the years."

Exactly the same reason why Ducati Austin dropped him. No level of commitment. Basically the guy's an ass to deal with. Pity cause he can kick ass on the track when he wants to. I don't think you'll see him with any teams now as this is the 3rd team thats dropped him for that particular reason.

Yeah, I met him about three years ago when I was in Sydney. He had no time for the people who wanted to talk to him....his so called "fans" were shunned at Sydney City Motorcycles in Kogarah. Gobert was supposed to be at the shop from 10am to 3pm but he bailed about an hour and a half. He just walked out and took off.

The most naturally talented rider out there. Could have made it in supercross and road racing..... hopefully he gets his shit together if he has another chance.
