    Hello all.
Another new rider here and enjoying the banter and information on these forums.
Actually, up until this morning, I wasn't aware that people willingly offered to shadow noobs like me! Kudos to the MC fraternity for this kind of generosity in WA. (Iv'e posted a shadow request in the LAMS/noobs forums).

As for my own ride. I'd had my eyes on a Royal Enfield for some time now. I love the history and ethos behind the old thumpers. And again, the Royal Enfield brotherhood is pretty strong in terms of support and camraderie.
So as soon as WA lifted it's restrictions on 250cc engines and allowed me to learn on a modest 500c single, I knew what had to be done!
So right now she only has 140km on her and I'm thoroughly enjoying the steady process of running her in properly.
I'm patient with her, following the run-in advice and she's rewarding me with the perma-grin that many Enfield owners speak of.
She may not get me from 0-100 in record times, but is a beautiful, steady workhorse that should see me through my early riding years and beyond!

Thanks all, hope to get to know a bunch of you as time goes by.

          Haha...yes we have Geoff.
Saw your intro on here too, and like you, wasn't sure if I'd come to the right place, considering the camels we ride.
So we can fight for turning up last during the newbie rides - with some modicum of style and grace.
Loving the new C5 though (kickstart and all!)

Welcome mate! What a great bike to start on. I've always wanted one but I'm also a fan of the Continental GT. Enjoy the run in on the new beast, It'll be worth it in the end.
