Can't see it happening but if it did it sure as shit would not be Bradl's Honda even if it was wearing the LCR bodywork

Be awesome if he did though.

Bradl's LCR is pretty much just a HRC bike with a Nissin rear caliper though right? Pretty sure they have moved to Ohlins suspension and Brembo front brakes now which was the main difference at one point?

I leg hump the shit out of stoner, i dont want this to happen. He's been off the bike for ages, your offereing a bike thats clearly not up there with the Hondas or Yammies regardless of the pilot. He goes out and gets a comendable 6th to 13th? Then the shit starts, has been. Marquez destroyed casey. New vs old.

Casey went out at the peak of his time, my memeory would prefer to remember him that way.
Just do it. Seriously, if you look up the standing rules of PSB it goes something like this.

1. Dont be a dick
2. Desmo is allowed to be a dick (sometimes)
3. Buy the one with the most Duke
4. Dont ask about fixing the search function.
etc etc..

Got to agree and that's why if it did happen I'd expect Honda would lend the bike he rode last year to LCR to remove as many variables as possible.

Sadly though a 11 months away from competition when the front 3 are at such an insane level I don't think is a mountain anyone can climb. Phillip Island and Casey would be the best possible chance of success though.

Would also be a bit of a slap in the face to everyone who thought they were seeing Casey's last Phillip Island and made the trip specially for it last year.

Some sites are saying Bradl is still hoping to get clearance to race.

Bradl is a tough bastard! I personally would prefer to see him saddle up and leave us wondering where he fits his scrotum in his leathers! Hopefully this happens.

He hasnt been off it that long, he did testing in Japan a couple of months back. Then biggest issue IMO would be fitness. If he had the chance to train and make sure he could go the distance by having a couple of months of notice and time to get ready I think he could slot back in pretty well. A week... well that could be asking alot.

Wash your mouth out!

out_in_front i have no doubt within a few months notice he would be back up pushing for podium contention. Agree with you, a week and PI. Very physical track especially if its wet.

Would love to see this, but it's more than unlikely given Stoner has had very little bike time this year.

From Crash.net
Not the BOLD print, I think they have a bit of sway with what does and doesn't happen

Would be great if it did happen, love Colin Edwards tweet

Stefan Bradl's ankle injury at Sepang instantly prompted speculation that Casey Stoner could take over the LCR Honda ride for next weekend's Phillip Island round.

Honda stated that it won't happen, but the front row qualifiers were nonetheless asked if they would like Honda to invite the former double world champion to race in his home Australian round.

27-year-old Stoner, who retired from MotoGP at the end of last year, is unbeaten at Phillip Island since 2007 and has been helping Honda develop next year's MotoGP machines during private tests at Motegi.

Stoner's Repsol Honda successor Marc Marquez, the 2013 title leader, said: “For me it would be interesting because it's another world champion so it would be good to ride with Casey, but this is a decision for Honda. But for me it would be a dream come true to ride with another world champion.”

Valentino Rossi wasn't quite as enthusiastic: “I hope to be in a great shape next weekend! I mean if Stoner comes, try to fight with him, because at Philip Island he's very fast but it looks like we are not so far.”

“I told Marc to say 'yes,' but I say 'no' because maybe it means I'm one place further back!” quipped Cal Crutchlow. “It would be good fun if he can come and ride. First of all, I'm sorry for Stefan, it was a real unfortunate crash, but if Casey comes - hopefully he doesn't go too fast!”

Bradl is due to undergo surgery on his fractured ankle in Kuala Lumpur tonight (Saturday).

Stoner, who made his MotoGP debut with LCR in 2006, is already scheduled to ride at Phillip Island next week - in a champions' parade alongside Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner.

Update: It wasn't just the media interested in seeing Stoner race at Phillip Island. Colin Edwards tweeted: "Grab ur shit and get to the Island @Official_CS27 There's a Honda available (not that u need it, Ducati was good enough for u there)"
It's better to be thought stupid than open your mouth and remove all doubt

Pure speed in sixth gear on a 5,000 foot straightaway is one thing, but pure speed in third gear on a gravel-strewn, downhill, ess turn is quite another.

keen to see Marquez beat him if this is the case
“Crashing is shit for you, shit for the bike, shit for the mechanics and shit for the set-up,” Checa told me a while back. “It’s a signal that you are heading in the wrong direction. You want to win but crashing is the opposite. It’s like being in France when you want to go to England and when you crash you go to Spain. That way you’ll never get to England!” -- Carlos Checa

That's part of the problem and why it wont happen. If it was anywhere else he could sub, finish anywhere respectable and it would be all cool not up to speed done a great job.

If he rides Phillip Island and doesn't win then the unbeaten record is gone and no one will give two craps that it would be almost impossible to jump on any of the bikes in the paddock and be competitive when you simply are not match fit.
