Yeah, kinda creepy how similar the two accidents were (if the reports are accurate). In any case, Doriano was giving up his time, along with a host of other well known riders for the benefit of others in trying to raise funds for the Marco Simoncelli Foundation. He also had 3 kids which makes it even sadder. Such a shame when a rider loses his life in what was meant to be a "fun" event.

That's a terrible tragedy and the irony is all too much as mentioned. Just goes to show us that we need to be careful everywhere we ride and cutting loose at the track isn't as safe as we might think.
