  • Was there a race on?

I thought it was just a HRC Demonstration run.

Switched off after 10 laps and went over to the F1

Yep, was down by about 2 secs on his first lap, looked like the wrong choice. Second lap it starts raining and takes pole by 2.5 secs and then betters it on the third lap with even more rain on the surface. Comparatively, Miller was on slicks and binned it.
Like him or not, Marquez is an amazing talent and has phenomenal feeling through the bike to set the fastest lap on slicks in the rain and to save the lowsides he does. There is simply no one else that can match that.

Your solution was to watch F1?

At least if MotoGP is boring it's only 45 minutes - not a whole day.

        • Marcs final two laps in Qualy were nuts. T13/T14 shouldn't of been possible, the slow-mo shots with the rain pelting down were epic!

I'm not sure if marc has just managed to perfect the crash, and now the entire lap is one big crash to the finishline.

Whilst the race was a bit uneventful, I feel that the director hasn't been showing any decent fights that are happening on further down the list. Miller and Crutchlow fighting back up through would of been good to watch...

          • If they stayed on Rossi long enough, his fans may have thought he was battling for the win

You know its a boring race when the F1 provides more entertainment.

              • With the current state of MotoGp, taking up quilt making would provide for a more gripping and varied result.

If it were Rossi (or anyone else other than Marc) would you consider it less boring and so be more inclined to watch it? Srs question, not poking the bear (too much 😃)

                  • Nope, it's boring when anyone dominates for any length of time...

                    Doohan 5 in a row.
Rossi when he could do no wrong.
Marquez, probably until he finally falls off and gets killed Simoncelli style.
                    Rea in WSBK.
                    Schumacher in F1 at Ferrari
Hamilton (the cunt) in F1 at Mercedes.
                    Vettel in F1 at Redbull

                        • Was nice to see Miller ran a smart race and didn't throw it away.

He's not really a good Sunday man. If anything he's a brave Friday man, where his base setting is usually good enough for him to push, riding around the problems. While others are far more conservative. As the weekend rolls on, he typically falls down the order. Perhaps the limited resources on a satellite team can't find the tenths that a factory team can, finding time to do rhythm/race simulations to understand when to push and when to save the tyres.

                          • Silly season rumours: Lorenzo to take Miller's spot, Miller to Honda.

                            Bautista to Honda in WSBK.

                            • It sounds like there is some truth to the Lorenzo to Pramac rumour, as for Miller to Honda, not sure about that

Alex Marquez to HRC might be more likely

                              • Honda would be better off with either Jack or Alex.
Everyone, except Lorenzo, knew Honda was a bad move for him. I reckon Honda will be happy to release him. If he goes back to Ducati and he can't ride it, it's game over.
Alex was linked with Ducati but that looks to have gone quiet.

Has 2 siblings in the same team been a thing?
