WSB Result Race one and two

Bad luck for Steve Martin, was sitting in 3rd when his motor lunched it self :oops:
Troy Corser was doing ok for the first 3 laps and then crashed out.
Chris on the CBR1000RR had problems, and did not score many points.

So what was the deal with Chili? He crashed both 999s during practice and/or qualifying, and only had a 998 left to race on?

The telecast I was watching labelled him as being on a 999 RS, but he was clearly on a 998 RS...

Also, I think Vermeulen actually made a pit-stop and still managed to score points! Was scary to hear that, last year, the CBR600RR Supersport bikes were only a second a lap off their 1000cc brethren :shock:

Chili said in his interview that he does not like the 999 front end and at this stage he will stick with racing the 998. Was also interesting hearing about the fact he has to watch how much track time (km or hours) he gives his bikes, he only has one spare motor :oops: that is a very tight budget.

As for Vermeulen, they did not say why he stopped :?: did well to finish in the points, but remember there was aprox 20 riders (4 rows).

Supersports

The supersport race was a cracker as usual. Really surprised to see Muggas go backwards through the race and the Yamaha's finish 1 & 2. It always looked like the Ten Kate Honda was barely clinging on in the opening laps.

The Ducati 749 did pretty well to sneak into 4th from a long way back.

All in all was not to bad! Need the Ten Kate Team to get hold of some HRC parts etc.
Haga should put the wind up the Fila Ducati Team a few more times this season. And McCoy and Steve Martin should also pull off some wins, maybe Philip Island!
Troy Corser was doing his usual thing and going backwards, I would think this would be his last season if results are not seen on the board.
The unluckest rider award would go to Regis Laconi :oops: he managed to crash his Fila Ducati on the sighting lap in race one, then when the race started he crashed again on the second bend, in race two it looked like he lost his left foot peg and pulled off the track, fuck that must suck :!:
