Just thought I'd check the shires website again in vain hope. This weeks meeting 18 November 2019 has the motor sport facility on the agenda, regarding noise management. Seems there was a petition of 83 signatures against the proposal.

I haven't noticed any other mention for a over a year, but... could this really still be possibly maybe chance of happening? please?

    Is anyone interested in going?

It is still in progress. Will be submitted to EPA for assessment soon.

If there are no noise objections, they would run their first events around May 2019.

The period for public comment on the noise plan has lapsed on the, I think, 22/7 and the project has moved from proposed to active project on the companies website. So there should be movement very soon!

The plans for the proposed track look very good indeed.
The infrastructure and layout seem to be well thought out and practical, possibly even future proof.
It is a long way from a PDF to a FPD ( Fairly Perfect Day ) on track.
I'm brushing up my cert 1 hort to see if a groundsman job would be a good way to get some track time.. haha
Maybe course /media liason would be the go...segway here I come.
I would imagine there will be some waves of negativity from certain areas of the public directed against this proposal.
We need Troy or Mick to poke their heads in .....I'm suggesting a high profile personality with a keen interest in motorsport/Bikes to garner some media/public interest..Mi2c
    Oh ...Hi J.

I ,for one, would like to see more run off area at the end of the main straight...like another 400m ...what's the max speed expectation on that.....1.2 km straight..?

On track is not going to be much of a fun place to be for you if you are still fighting.
Can't wait for this new track to get going, looks great
A few friends rode Tailem Bend a couple of weeks back and loved it. Very fast and technical.

I can live with once a month. No doubt it's going to cost a bit more for a track day but sometimes you get what you pay for.
