  • Russell Nash health update...

    Pulled from the MCRCWA website....

Nashy recuperates after high speed crash at Phillip Island in MotoGP support:
Russell Nash unfortunately suffered a number of injuries following a crash at Turn 1 during the final Supersport race on saturday at the Motogp.
His injuries include a broken femur, 3 vertebrae C5 - 6 and L1, fractured pelvis and dislocated hip, broken hand and ribs.
He is currently at The Alfred Hospital in Commercial Road Melbourne, but is about to move into rehab and will be there for 3-4 weeks.

We wish Russell a full recovery and hope he can get home to WA soon.
    Further updates to follow.

All the best to was a horrific crash to watch, and I really thought he wasnt going to recover from it...Im so glad to hear he is on the road to recovery...albeit a long and hard one.

I honestly had no idea he had even gone down. I wish him all the best, and hope that everything heals up. Hopefully he will get back onto a bike again, as the tousles over the last few years between the top racers in the local scene were absolutely dynamic, and he helped make the series exciting.

3 broken vertebrae and only in hospitals for 3-4 weeks?....
Not to mention the complications of pelvis and hip to go with it.

No defecit? (spinal cord damage) or just 2-4 weeks before things are stable enough so he can be shipped back to WA? (shents)

Hope its the former. (L1 isnt fun. C5-6 is worse. )

          Hope you heal well dude.
