  • Cam Keevers invited to Sydney

Cameron Keevers has been invited to attend the Reece Bancell Memorial Fund dinner in Sydney. He has the chance to be named as receipiant of the Reece Bancell Scholarship, which would include a comprehensive sponsorship package for the 08 season. The dinner will be on the 10th of november and I wish Cam all the best in achiving this award. I know he is worthy of it.

Craig Nicholson (#14) has posted on the aus-superbikes site his congratulations to Cam Keevers for winning the Reece Bancell Memorial Scholarship.

You bloody ripper. Congratulations Cam, and although I'm totally biased being Cam's uncle, I think he is a very deserving winner and will do this honour proud.

I also reckon it's a big tick for WA racing and the talent our comp produces.

Oh wow - That is awesome news - I hope you have a great year in 08 Cam

Whats the deal with the scholarship? Is it factory support and bike or something? Is it Superstock or supersport? Doesnt sound like its a Honda thing

                    Really stoked for you Cam!!!

Just spoke to Cam, naturally he is stoked. He'd just been speaking to Alex Gobert so look for a short piece on this in AMCN.

The details of the scholarship in '08 are being nailed down but it looks like a very generous package. Of course he'd like to thank the Reece Bancell Memorial Association for the award and the sponsors that make it possible.

He's also looking forward to this weekend at Wanneroo on the Aark Electrics R6, where I'm sure he'll give the s/sport class a good shake, continuing on from his performance in the final round of the State Champs in that class.

Yep, it is official. Cam Keevers will be the representative for the Reece Bancell Memorial Foundation. It is a comprehensive package including bikes, (Yamaha R6`s) riding gear, financial support and technical support. We will be racing supersport next season, as quite a few have guessed already.
I think it is a great oppertunity for Cam and his family and of course myself are very proud of him. He will be a worthy representative and has already achived so much for WA racing, with his dedication and perservirence. Watch this space, we will be racing hard!
See you all at the track on the weekend.........

PS: and yes he did do a mid 57 in practice......
