Hi all,
once again a short report from Wanneroo. As usual we had to set up fairly early and after the Trackdayz session yesterday, getting out of bed was not that easy.
We set up with one eye on the sky, but the weather held pretty well. Lots of wind, but no rain. Cam went out for the first practice session and found the track fairly slippery from the rain the day before.
The first race was a bit of a nightmare after a crash on the second lap. We got called out to the grid twice before we got to go racing, but Cam kept his cool and won the first race.
After problems with the steering damper, we had to change it and it made the bike handle a bit better, but it was still headshaking out of every turn. This ment that Cam was fighting the bike all through the race. He still managed to win race 2, be it with a smaller margin than the last rounds.
After a few minor adjustments and checks, Cam went out for race 3 with the theoretical chance of winning the championship with a win and Ralf Mamelotti finishing no higher than 3rd. Cam did his part, but Ralf didn`t stick to our plan and finished 2nd in the last race ^_^.
This means, Ralf has still the mathematical chance to win the championship, if Cam doesn`t score in the last round and Ralf wins all 3 remaining races. That is, if I counted correctly...
All in all it was a good day for us and Team AARK Racing would like to thank all marshalls and officials for making the meet happen! We would also like to thank all our supporters and sponsors, who all put in a great effort to make our racing endevour happen.
We will see you at round 5!
