  • Photography question for the RACERS.

Ok, I'm sitting here sorting thru another multiple 1000 photo's...

Some photo's aren't "up to scratch" (sharpness/focus) and don't make for a good print.
But some look cool re: if you're the rider stuffing it up inside of someone else.
However it's soft and you'd never bother to print it.

So does one delete it, or upload it?

Either way, it's not going to be bought, and as a photographer, you wouldn't want your name to it....but as a rider....you like it.....

Or just a 'junk shots' folder in your gallery.

I know exactly the kind of shots you are talking about too.

Stick em on a cd Doug, then its only the rider that see's them.

I'm sure you can't be expected to have EVERY pic spot on, even at your level mate.

Dugy: I'd put them on the website as a freebie. Not only will it get you more eyeballs, but it's good karma, which hopefully will be returned

Yeah I've pretty much put everything up.
Some are soft, but hey rider first, photographer second.

A bit overprocessed.....shouldn't have had so many beer's before I started.

If you were to sort the photos by the rider and someone buys a good photo you uploaded, give them the option of having the other pics cheap or for free. I wouldn't upload them because as you said, it is not your best work and not a good add for your business.

But to be able to reward someone who is already giving you money sounds fair and good business

That sound like all my photos Doug
                      Put them up sans watermark.

That would be an ideal way to do it.
But unforunately I simply don't have the spare time to sort photo's to that level.

However as time permits I do check all the photo's that get ordered to see what people like.
If I see someone has ordered a photo that is not one I'm happy with the quality of (and I slipped up and uploaded it) then I go thru and find a sharper one on the same corner and send that thru for free.
