  • Failed R -test

    I went for my R - Class test at Kelmscott a couple of weeks ago. I had no problems doing quick stops during lessons, and my first quick stop during the test was so short, the examiner said I mustn't have been doing less than 50 kmh ..... so I had to do it again down the other side of the street, next to the bush and rear wheel hit some mulch or wood chips and locked up - so failed .
    I was told by others that the bike I was riding (Triumph Bonno) is so smooth, quiet and low revs that it looks slower....
    Examiner should say 'do 45-50kmh' and have a speed gun or something to check the speed, Australian Design Rules mean the bike speedo can be 10% error - I wouldn't do 51 kmh during the test as that's breaking the law.
    Bike = Piglet
